This project included the renovation of existing mixed use space to create a new Procedure Suite at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The renovation created a new Procedure Room, C-Arm storage room, C02 tank storage room, office, and Lower Level Clinical Engineering space. This project was a unique 4100 sf interior renovation within the Saint Louis Science Center. The new $1.8 million, 9,900-square-foot, outpatient bone marrow transplant center at Saint Louis University Hospital is the first comprehensive outpatient bone marrow transplant center in the region. The center was constructed in an existing hospital space with a low floor-to-deck height and structural concrete beams, requiring close coordination by McGrath and the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection contractors. McGrath & Associates completed a $1.5 million expansion of the Saint Louis University Hospital emergency department, one of the region’s busiest emergency rooms and the busiest Level 1 trauma center. The 4,000 sf expansion project added five treatment rooms, a nurses’ station, work and storage spaces, and a two-station registration area with three offices. This $1.2 million, two-phased renovation project at Saint Louis University Hospital replaced the existing imaging area with a new 1.5T MRI exam room and dedicated control room. McGrath also updated the sunlit lobby/waiting area with soft wall colors and new flooring. The new facility was constructed while the existing MRI rooms, located adjacent to the construction area, remained in use.
