The new $1.8 million, 9,900-square-foot, outpatient bone marrow transplant center at Saint Louis University Hospital is the first comprehensive outpatient bone marrow transplant center in the region.
The center was constructed in an existing hospital space with a low floor-to-deck height and structural concrete beams, requiring close coordination by McGrath and the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection contractors.
McGrath coordinated construction with hospital staff to prevent any disruption to the patient care areas located on the floor below the center and the administration offices above. McGrath also implemented strict contamination control measures to ensure a safe work environment and clean air quality for staff and patients.
