McGrath served as the Construction Manager and General Contractor for the construction of the $900,000, 3,990-square-foot expansion to the existing Training Building at Ameren’s Dorsett Road campus. This facility provides classroom and workshop space for Ameren’s electrician’s to receive additional training.
The project consisted of a McGrath furnished Butler Brand Pre-Engineered Metal Building for the shell. It included new personnel shower and restrooms, a first floor and second floor classroom, two emergency egress exterior stair towers. Additionally, there is a large open bay work shop training area with mock electrical equipment and a large transformer that is built into the side of the building. This equipment provides the students with hands on training prior to field experience.
