McGrath is constructing two new glass hydraulic elevators in the atrium of the Center for Advanced Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Summary The $1.5 million renovation of the second-floor patient care unit at Memorial Hospital Belleville in Belleville, Illinois, converted shared pediatric patient rooms in one wing of the second floor into 12 private adult patient rooms. Adjacent wings remained operational and occupied by patients, so McGrath implemented strict isolation and infection prevention measures. McGrath will work in two phases to replace an existing warehouse with a 33,000-square-foot warehouse/office building for U.S. Paint in downtown St. Louis while the manufacturing facility remains operational. The newborn intensive care unit (NICU) within the Childbirth Center at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, Missouri, features eight newborn intensive care beds in a special care nursery with procedure room and baby nursery. Each bed includes state-of-the-art technology in a unique, family-centered layout with accommodations for an overnight guest. This fast-track design-build project at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis was completed in just six weeks. The project involved moving the hospital’s dialysis center to a new location in the main tower. McGrath installed a reverse osmosis water treatment system for dialysis procedures and oversaw the electrical, mechanical and plumbing portions of the project, which included bead-and-crevice-free fusion-joined PVC piping.
