McGrath & Associates recently completed the new Centerstone Clinic in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, a $3.4 million investment designed to expand access to critical mental health and substance use treatment services throughout the region. The 10,400-square-foot, single-story facility was developed for SEMOBH, part of Centerstone. Designed by Hood-Rich Architecture, the new clinic provides a welcoming, modern environment that helps reduce barriers and stigma often associated with seeking behavioral healthcare.

Serving as both Construction Manager and General Contractor, McGrath delivered the project in approximately 11 months. The facility features eight clinic rooms, two telehealth suites, two nurse exam rooms, private offices, group counseling spaces, staff work areas, and a break room. Constructed with a slab-on-grade foundation and wood-framed structure, the building was thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable, secure, and well-lit experience for patients and caregivers alike. The clinic’s layout supports a broad range of behavioral health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, trauma and family therapy, peer support, care coordination, and group counseling programs.

The completed facility represents a significant enhancement to the behavioral healthcare infrastructure in southeast Missouri. The project reflects McGrath’s continued commitment to constructing healthcare facilities that have a lasting, positive impact on the communities they serve.
