McGrath & Associates is proud to announce the recent completion of the new Centerstone Clinic in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The new $3.4 million facility represents a major investment in behavioral health services and will expand access to vital mental health and substance use treatment programs for individuals and families throughout southeast Missouri. The project was funded through a partnership between the Missouri Behavioral Health Council and the Missouri Department of Mental Health and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare resources in the region.
Designed to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and secure environment for patients, the approximately 10,400-square-foot clinic includes eight clinical treatment rooms, two telehealth rooms, two nurse exam rooms, group counseling spaces, private offices, staff support areas, and a break room. The facility will offer a comprehensive range of services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual and family counseling, trauma therapy, peer support, care coordination, and group education programs. By creating a modern environment specifically tailored to behavioral healthcare, the new clinic helps reduce barriers to seeking treatment while supporting positive outcomes for patients and their families.
McGrath served as both Construction Manager and General Contractor on the project, leading construction from groundbreaking through completion. The project team was led by Project Manager Scott Hensley and Superintendent James Watkins, whose leadership helped successfully deliver the facility in approximately 11 months. Working closely with Centerstone and Hood-Rich Architecture, the team focused on creating a high-quality healthcare environment that will serve the community for years to come.
More than a new building, the clinic represents an investment in the health and well-being of the people of southeast Missouri. Centerstone currently serves communities across eight counties and provides critical behavioral health services to thousands of individuals each year. The new facility positions the organization to better meet growing community needs while offering patients a safe, dignified place to begin their recovery journey. McGrath is honored to have partnered on a project that will make a lasting difference in the lives of so many individuals and families throughout the region.
