McGrath completed two phases of construction on Ameren Missouri’s $8.5 million switching station on Martin Luther King (MLK) Drive in downtown St. Louis. The combined site work performed by McGrath was $1.4 million. This project was part of Amtrak’s Nationwide Mobility First ADA upgrades project. McGrath installed new ADA walkways and ramps at two existing Amtrak stops, La Plata, MO and Poplar Bluff, MO. At all three sites, McGrath installed owner furnished wheel chair lift enclosures. The existing stops were on both Union Pacific and Burlington Northern rail lines. This $6.1 million, 23,000-square-foot project involved the renovation of the 8th floor of Shoenberg Pavilion located on Barnes-Jewish Hospital's North Campus into a twenty five bed Inpatient Division and ten bed ICU Department. In order to keep the ICU operational throughout the project, McGrath devised a detailed three phase construction plan, which included relocating the ICU into a newly renovated space before renovating their previous location. This $11 million, 36,700-square-foot renovation of the Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital includes 36 new ICU rooms, patient care stations, support areas, and family waiting areas. McGrath also installed three new mechanical units and performed building infrastructure upgrades on multiple floors. The $1.7 million Barnes-Jewish Hospital Pain Management project consisted of building a new suite on the 14th floor of the Center for Advanced Medicine. McGrath was successful in exceeding the Owner’s goals for diversity inclusion as approximately 23% of the project was completed by minority contractors.
